Sunday's NTU
scene of a rainy afternoon on s bus ride to school
yesterday(saturday)morning was off to breakfast wif lawrence to discuss some ongoing agenda. then off to sell away my laptop. and met huangyi @ central before lunch, talked abit and gotten some info on IA. afternoon was spent in sch studying/revision.
night was kbox-ing wif jonathan. we decided not to try the usual spots, instead we went to paradiz. Omg they hav really huge function rooms with a stage for the singer and lotsa tables and couches for the audience. did alot of experimenting with throat and diaphragm and we both got a better idea on how to differentiate. well if you wana hear the difference, you definitely must turn off the echo on the mixer.
after 1, we went across the road to "Mr Bean" for coffee and chat, whilst he also can get to watch his soccer. chat up quite alot of stuffz until 3 when we finally went home.
and as for today(sunday), i'm heading to sch later to study/revise as usual. at night defaulted to dinner at home unless otherwise.
the truth is out. the problem wif my voice wasnt much to do with the mic cos i bought the touted "best in the world vocal mic" SHURE SM55. at first i tot it was some advertising fad, but when i typed it into google to search, it was all over the pages!
boring friday(GOOD FRIDAY) i guess. but been playing around wif new mic and recordings. very fun. I mean few people have the chance to hear what they're singing from a 3rd person point of view.
discovered what is the difference between using throat to sing and diaphragm. Omg, gotta kick the bad habit of using throat already, if not wont improve. so now need to find out whether the mic i used for recording got problem or is it my bad habit of using throat as well.
studying days, nothing interesting really.
however i did make progress besides my studies. it's song/melody discoveries.

nothing much, went to sch on a saturday to do revision on my exam papers until 6pm wif shunrong and yeechee my study buddies. then was too late to arrange anything so jus went to JP for a simple LJS dinner + a lil talk with lawrence on his new plans.
"why do i have to wait until after exams" is still the quote i leave with anyone who is reading this. cos it's been deeply engraved in my heart. yes, exams are important, but sometimes for something that you want to happen, you have to have the chance+(the right) actions , then the possibility will be created. when the chance is gone, the possibility never returns.
paisei la, i forgot to blog already la u guys. friday nothing much, saturday nothing much.
well at least i gotta chillout on sunday nite wif a bunch of frens namely melissa,amanda they all. it was great to meet 'em. got myself updated wif lotsa info from the workin' scene heh. woken up my idea. sculpted more on my ideals.
dinner was @ far east top floor zicha followed by coffeebean@paragon; and mel actually tot that there was a coffeeclub @ paragon.
monday was boring. today was tiring: went to sch, went to simlim to buy stuff then came home.
ok i'm not here to advertise for 'em, jus wana share my good experience. so after sch today, i decided to get a haircut @ "EC house", a place that i never tried before. I've got this idea that as long as they cut as i instructed, the styling i can always do by myself.
and I was right! i went there and asked for a japanese hairstyle, the hairstylist told me that i need to give her detailed instructions to cut cos there are no catalogue to browse and no default style. haha! best.. why? cos u get to cut watever u want @ $10 ?!?!?
hmm so roughly 5mins was spent telling her wat i want, or rather wat i dont want(too short). ok so after the experience, i urge all who know wat they wana cut, to go EC house and save$.
omg, i've jus saved myself a whole load of $, cos no need to goto "shunji matsuo" get haircut already.
oops, sounding like salesman liao. :)
tips: go with freshly washed hair and dont apply anything, or jus make sure u didnt put any gel or wax when u arrive, cos they dont do wash. jus cut.
and bring the picture wif the hairstyle u want to cut(print from web or cut from magazine), the hairstylist will cut according to the pic + ur instructions. and of coz, u can observe and guide step by step.
ok lemme do some cost estimation for a cut+colour: cut=$10 + colour= $14(DIY hairdye) = !!!$28
3AM and still yawning...not asleep... it is this mood that drives me to study for the papers. most of 'em NTU frens havent started; still bogged down by labs and stuff. but i see beyond that. somehow studying for the papers felt more important. gonna do the same tomoro. hide in scr to study with my fav study group; the one and only study group that i hang/hung out to study wif. dont be stunned if you see me on msn very often cos i'll be studying in front of the pc. this is the time i'll miss all my frens MOST, cos i no longer hav that free time to hang out wif u pips. gotta catch up wif ya all online / on phone. agonising but unevitable....
surprisingly i stayed in sch to do some sch work until 8.30pm today. i felt pretty shocked when i checked my watch before going home. however this hrs spend on sch work dipped me into the mood. the exam prep mood; the mood that i feel everytime it is about 1mth before exams.
arg, it's already 7.50am, i shall quickly blog then goto slp, tired siah.
so it was boring saturday nite. me and Jamie we feeling bored. she was watching this movie on TV. I was online. it was simply too boring. so we went out for kopi @ Mr Bean selegie.
omg, we tallked about like everything under the moon, all stuffz. every stuff. seemed like we were able to converse very well. maybe cos both of us studied the same field. read similar books. haa, it was really fun.
hmm oops didnt blog for quite a while liao cos nothing much's been happening lately, home->school->home, everyday for the weekdays.
today's finally saturday. as usual slept into early afternoon. akne-mycin has a great effect when used for quite some time. nex week officially going to be staying back in sch till nite on most days to study wif the study group. this happens every semester about 1month before exams haha.
supposed to goto sch to study wif shunrong and zhiwei today but i overslept leh oops. anyways last nite was dinner wif max and zhiming @ lot1 followed by a movie "hitch". woohaa, it's really hilarious leh all the stuff he taught the guys to woo girls, super funny.
hmm, i guess for the rest of today gonna be studying half and going for dinner wif hmm, maybe chenjie whom i havent met in a while. he's really changed alot; awoke from the world of games/arcade. as i told him before, when he start working, he'll realise what is more important and what not.
